Before the Color - Butterfly Pen & Ink Fine Art Print

Before the watercolor came the ink.

Before the Color is a fine art print reproduced from my original black-and-white pen-and-ink butterfly artwork. This piece captures the butterfly at an earlier stage in my creative process—after the detailed ink drawing was complete, but before I added watercolor to the original design.

Intricate linework, patterns, and bold black markings define the butterfly's wings, creating a striking monochrome piece that celebrates the beauty of the drawing itself. The clean white background keeps the focus on the details and symmetry of the butterfly.

Before the Color works beautifully in nature-inspired, modern, eclectic, botanical, or black-and-white spaces and pairs naturally with other pen-and-ink pieces from my collection.
